Le Mas d’Ayen is a place shaped by time, nature, and open-air living.
We are Kevin and Erin, and we care for a historic stone estate set among forests and quiet landscapes in the Corrèze. Rooted in the Nordic philosophy of Friluftsliv, our approach is simple: to create a gentle harmony between people and the natural world.
This is not traditional camping. It is an invitation to slow down. Mornings begin with fresh air and birdsong, days unfold outdoors, and evenings settle around the warmth of the fire or under open skies. Our camping spaces and gîtes are designed to feel calm, comfortable, and deeply connected to their surroundings.
The estate itself dates back to 1604, once a hunting lodge, now a place of retreat. We honour its history while keeping the experience modern, thoughtful, and unpretentious.
Le Mas d’Ayen is a place to pause, breathe deeply, and feel at home in nature.

In Harmony with Nature
At Le Mas d’Ayen, we believe the best way to enjoy the countryside is to protect it. Our approach is simple: we minimize our impact so that the owls, kestrels, and butterflies can continue to call this estate home.
A Natural Landscape: We leave "wild" areas to encourage biodiversity and bird nesting. Pure Water & Soil: We avoid pesticides and use only biodegradable products to protect our local stream. Peace & Quiet: To preserve the tranquility of the site, the camping area is a car-free zone, with dedicated parking located beside the reception.
